How does India feed all it’s people?
Actually, a large percentage of people in India are chronically hungry – specifically, over 200 million, or about one-fifth of India’s population of 1.15 billion. It’s not that there is not enough food in India, it’s just that the food is too expensive for the poor to afford. India is actually the 2nd highest food producing nation in the world, after China (which is obviously first). Also, India has the most arable (suitable to growing crops) land in the world, with over 50% of the country having arable land.
